DUNN – Midway completed an unbeaten season in the Southeastern Athletic Conference and ran its overall season record to 21-0 with a 3-0 victory over West Bladen Tuesday night by set scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-9.
Senior Emily Young knocked in 13 attacks, three kills, three service points and had three assists for the Lady Knights. Senior Whitney McLean swatted in 13 attacks, two kills, two service points and a block. Junior Trinity Meares banged in five attacks, two kills, two blocks and a service point.
Senior Kylie Durden sparked the West defense with five digs. Junior Jenna McLean tallied a service point, two assists and two digs. Sophomore Marlene Crabtree fired in five attacks, two kills, a service point and had a dig.
Senior Makayla Wright smacked in 11 attacks, a kill and a block for the Lady Knights. Junior Maddie Walters belted in 12 attacks and two kills. Sophomore Alina Chavez totaled an attack, a kill, an assist and a dig. Senior Kaitlyn Brisson finished with six attacks and a dig.
The Lady Knights concluded their season with a 3-9 SAC-7 record and 5-14 overall mark.
