BLADENBORO – South Columbus defeated West Bladen 3-0 Monday night in non-conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-10, 25-20 and 25-9.
Senior Jenna McLean checked all the stat columns for West with 2 aces, another service point, 6 attacks, 2 assists, 4 digs and a kill. Freshman Greer Pope drilled in 5 service points, a kill and had 3 assists and an attack. Senior Kiera Lewis pounded in 3 service points, 4 attacks and 4 blocks.
Senior Maddie Walters battered the defense with 11 attacks, 2 kills, 2 blocks and a service point. Junior Marlie Walters slammed in 2 kills, an ace, 2 service points and 4 attacks. Junior Alina Chavez hammered in a kill, 3 attacks, an ace and 3 service points.
Junior Marlene Crabtree knocked in 9 attacks, a kill and a service points. Senior Trinity Meares finished with 2 blocks and 6 attacks. Sophomore Jaylyn Clark racked up 2 blocks and 2 attacks, and junior Holland Davis tallied 1 service point.
West Bladen, now 2-5, will host East Columbus Tuesday night.
