ROCKY POINT – West Bladen defeated Heide Trask 3-1 Thursday night in Four County Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 18-25 and 25-16.
Senior Kathryn Schultz blasted in 10 kills, 2 aces, 4 service points and 2 block assists to lead the Lady Knights. Sophmore Raegan Davis pounded in 8 kills, 2 aces, 4 blocks, 2 service points and a block assist.
Senior Logan Autry dished out 9 assists and drilled in 4 aces and 2 service points. Senior Kassidy Anderson fired in 9 service points, 4 kills and an ace.
Senior Jenna Dove knocked in 3 kills, 2 aces and 3 service points for West. Senior Morgan Schumacher pounded in 5 kills, and senior Laikyn Pait slammed in 4 kills and an ace.
Senior Kaylee Stevens hammered in 3 kills and an ace, and junior Patience Parker added one kill.
“The team played excellent,” said West Bladen Coach Gaye Davis. “They have worked hard to reduce little mistakes. I am proud of all of them.”
The Lady Knights improved to 2-1 in league play and are 6-3 overall. West Bladen will travel to Pender Tuesday for a 4:30 match.
