WHITEVILLE – Whiteville defeated West Bladen 3-0 Wednesday night in non-conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-7, 25-16 and 25-19.
Sophomore Trinity Meares fired in 3 aces, 6 service points, a kill, a block and had 1 dig for the Lady Knights. Junior Makayla Wright walloped 7 kills, 3 blocks and a service point. Junior Whitney McLean clobbered 3 kills, an ace and a service point.
Junior Emily Young racked up 6 assists, 2 service points, a kill and had 1 dig for West. Sophomore Jenna McLean smashed in 2 kills, an ace and a service point. Senior Caroline Brisson drilled in an ace, and junior Catherine Dowless had 1 dig.
The Lady Knights, now 2-8, will host St. Pauls Monday night.
