This Saturday marks a very important visit to your veterinarian. It is very imperative that your family pet is vaccinated or risk being given a civil penalty of $200. If your pet is already due for their three year vaccination then the owner must bring proof the previous vaccination. It is also stated in the North Carolina Laws that, “The owner of every dog and cat over four months of age shall have the animal vaccinated against rabies.”

Time schedule for each clinic-
12:30-1 p.m.: Elizabethtown Veterinary Hospital
1:30-2 p.m.: Bull Street and Old Fayetteville Road, Cypress Township
2:20-2:50 p.m.: U.S. 701 and N.C. 210 crossroad, Cypress Creek Township
3:10-3:40 p.m.: Rowan Country Store
4-4:30 p.m.: Kelly Store

** Next week the Presbyterian Church is offering a Sports Camp for this summer on Monday through Friday. Kindergarteners through sixth graders are allowed to attend. The cost for per child for each week of camp will be $35 dollars. Camp begins at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 2:00 p.m. at the church. It is the utmost priority that either the parent or guardian of the child drop off AND pick them up as well. If someone else has to pick the child up then the staff must be notified. The children will need to have packed lunches for each day, unless there will be a problem with this then the staff will still need to be notified. Water will be provided for everyone and they will need to wear socks and tennis shoes.

** Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Summer Sounds next Thursday at the Cape Fear Farmers Market in Elizabethtown and featuring the Coastline Band. The show will start at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will be shine or rain.

** Bladen County Extension and Community Association will be holding their annual Christmas in July event next week on Friday 14th. The joyous event will begin at 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Powell-Melvin Agricultural Service Center which is located on Smith Circle in Elizabethtown. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. and will last until 2 p.m. The cost to buy lunch be five dollars and ten dollars to rent a booth.
