FAIRMONT- West Bladen’s boys finished second and East Bladen’s boys placed fourth in Thursday’s Three Rivers Conference track meet.

St. Pauls won the boys meet with 124 points, while West Bladen was second with 53 points. Fairmont placed third with 49 points, followed by East Bladen (40 points) and Whiteville (38 points).

Senior Jonathan Robinson won the shot put for the Knights with a heave of 40 feet, 4 inches. Posting second-place finishes for West Bladen were the 4×800 Meter Relay team (9:33), the 4×400 Meter Relay team (3:56) and sophmore Tyre Boykin with a leap of 36 feet, 11 inches in the triple jump.

East Bladen senior Trevares Carter won the 100 meter dash in 11.2 seconds. Senior teammate A. J. Wynn won the 400 meter dash in 54.5 seconds.

Second-place finishers for the Eagles were: Carter in 200 meter dash in 23.4 seconds and the 4×200 meter relay team (1:35.3).

Recording third-place finishes for the Knights were the 4×100 meter relay team (46.8), senior Dayvon Swindell in the 400 meter dash (55.2), Boykin in the 200 meter dash (23.5), and senior Zion Barrett in the shot put 38 feet, 9 inches.

Third-place finishers for the Eagles included the boys 4×800 meter relay team (9:41), the 4×400 meter relay team (3:57), and senior Keymon Cromartie in the 110 meter hurdles (18.4),

Scoring points with fourth-place finishes for West Bladen were: senior Trenton Lyons in the 800 meter run (2:21), sophmore Jacob Bryan in the 1600 meter run (5:18), the 4×200 meter relay team (1:35.5), and Daveon Willis in the 110 meter hurdles (20.0).

Picking up fifth-place points for the Knights were Boykin in the long jump (17-6), sophmore Andrew (AJ) Brown in triple jump (35-2) and senior Masai Carroway in the 100 meter dash (11.4).
