The West Bladen High School Land Judging Team went to Columbus County to compete in the Land Judging Contest on November 9. Team members were: Alex Clark, Mackenzie Morris, Sean Nunnery, and Ashlea Williams. Students judged land aspects such as surface layer, subsurface layer, slope, and drainage. They also made recommendations for land treatment, urban uses, and special environmental concerns. They finished as the first place Senior Team in the county.
The West Bladen High School Truck and Tractor team competed at the Lake Waccamaw Boys and Girls Home on November 17. The team had to maneuver the trucks and tractors through a course in a safe manner. The team members were Lucas Williams, Charlie Gooden, Cade Ransom, Colby White. Lucas Williams placed third in the competition.
