West Bladen Coach Todd Pait welcomed 45 players to the Knights first official practice Monday morning.
“Great first day,” said Coach Pait. “We had about 45 kids out. It’s a really good start.”
Pait replaces Russell Dove who led the Knights to a 5-7 record and a first round play-off spot last year. Dove left West to take the South Columbus coaching job.
“We need some more jayvee guys out there,” continued Coach Pait. “But I was pleased with the attitude and effort.”
The Knights will play their first scrimmage August 10th at South Brunswick against South Brunswick and Coach Dove’s South Columbus team.
On August 12th the Knights will participate in the East Bladen Football Jamboree against West Columbus, Overhills, South Robeson and the host Eagles.
