Thursday evening was a time of celebration for some in Bladen County. The Tar Heel Camp 1044 Woodmen Life held their annual awards night on January 17th.

Those in attendance recognized three community members for the work they do in the county.

Archie Bordeaux was presented the Environmental award. Wanda Singletary was presented the Community Leadership award. Marie Jackson was presented the Caring for Others award.

Ms. Priest, a retired Bladen County School teacher in attendance at the awards celebration said, “Each recipient is to be commended for exhibiting good citizenship in their communities and abroad.”
