ELIZABETHTOWN – The Force scored the final 11 runs of the game and defeated the Thunder 21-10 Tuesday night in Bladen Recreation 11-12 Softball League action.

The Force jumped in front with a six-run first inning. Raegan Moore, Marly Crabtree, Emmee Ward and Mollie Tolar drew walks and scored runs. Violet Allen and Molly Pait were both hit by pitches and scored runs.

The Thunder answered with two runs in the home first. Megan Pait walked, and Marlie Walters belted a single to left field. Brooke Singletary laced a single to left and both Megan Pait and Walters scored runs.

Gracie Todd walked in the Force second inning and raced home on a wild pitch to pad the lead to 7-2.

Holland Davis and Abbie Hickman drew walks in the Thunder second and both scored on wild pitches to trim the margin to 7-4.

Allen and Crabtree drew walks and scored in the Force half of the third, and Ward was hit by a pitch and scored as the lead grew to 10-4.

The Thunder tied the game with a six-run third inning. LeAnn Stanley walked and Lena Trinidad raked a single to left. After Megan Pait singled, Walters hammered a double. Singletary reached base on an error, and Kallie Bass lined a single. Stanley, Trinidad, Megan Pait, Walters, Singletary and Bass all scored runs.

Hannah Richardson was hit by a pitch to start the Force fourth inning and scored the tie-breaking run on a wild pitch. Todd, Erin Murdock, Moore and Allen all drew walks and scored runs. Crabtree smacked a single to left and scored to boost the Force lead to 16-10.

Natalee Sykes, Richardson, Murdock and Moore all drew walks and scored runs in the Force half of the fifth inning. Todd cracked a single and also scored.

Crabtree and Todd finished with one hit each for the Force. Moore, Allen, Crabtree and Todd scored three runs each. Ward, Richardson and Murdock scored two runs each. Molly Pait, Sykes, and Tolar scored one run each.

Walters batted 2-for-3 with a double to lead the Thunder hitters. Trinidad finished 2-for-3 at the plate, and Megan Pait, Singletary and Bass connected for one hit each. Megan Pait, and Walters scored two runs each, and Trinidad, Singletary, Bass, Davis, Hickman and Stanley scored one run each.

Ward pitched all four innings for the Force and picked up the win while striking out four batters. Trinidad struck out three in her three innings in the circle for the Thunder.
