T. J. Smith who started at defensive end for Arkansas Saturday in the Razorbacks 49-7 victory over Florida A&M is the grandson of Bladenboro’s Eltroy Smith.
T. J. Smith, a 6-3 290-pound sophmore, had 2 tackles in Saturday’s game. He helped lead Colquitt County to a 15-0 record and the Georgia Class 6A state title in his senior year of high school.
T. J. is also a cousin of Trelonnie Owens who led Bladenboro to the State 1A Basketball championship in 1990 and was All-ACC Basketball at Wake Forest.
