North Carolina law states that “the owner of very dog and cat over four months of age shall have the animal vaccinated against rabies.” In Bladen County, the owners of dogs and cats which have not been vaccinated in accordance with the law are subject to a civil penalty of $200. Bladen County Animal Control will hold a rabies clinic on November 16, 2021 offering one-year rabies vaccinations.
A vaccine will be given to pets for $6 each. The event will be held from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Bladen County Animal Control located at 506 Smith Circle in Elizabethtown, NC. Please have dogs on a leash and cats in carriers.
