Karli Priest and Amber Jones combined to pitch a 3-inning no-hitter Tuesday night as the Racers blanked the Force 16-0 in the opening game of Bladen Recreation’s 11-12 Softball season at County Park.
Priest struck out five and issued a walk to Kolee Wilkins in the second inning that accounted for the lone Force base-runner. Jones pitched a perfect third inning and struck out two batters.
Hailey Guyton batted a perfect 3-3 and scored 2 runs to lead the Racer hitters. Priest finished 2-2 at the plate with a double and scored 3 runs. Emma Turbeville batted 2-2 with a double and scored 2 runs.
Lead-off batter Zoe Smith slammed a double and scored 3 runs. Jones belted a single and scored a run. Mary Katelyn Lennon scored 2 runs for the Racers, and Kailey Heath, Natalie Spears and Weslyn Hall scored one run each.
