TEACHEY – Six Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs scored in double-figures Monday night in a 91-64 Four County Conference boys basketball victory over East Bladen.

Desmond Newkirk led the balanced Bulldog attack with 17 points, and Quavion Baysden, Aliza Carter and Jaylen Pollack scored 13 points each. Raheem Christian followed with 11 points and Javonte Williams tallied 10.

The Eagles stayed close in the first quarter but 5 points each from Williams and Patrick Farrior sparked the Bulldogs to a 20-16 lead.

Sophmore Adonis Avery and senior Denzel Johnson bombed in 3-point shots and added a basket each for the Eagles in the opening quarter. Sophmore Sincere Smith threw in 2 baskets, and senior Eian Hines pumped in a basket.

Pollack lit up the scoreboard with 9 points, and Newkirk drained a pair of 3-balls and totaled 8 points as the Bulldogs exploded for 28 points in the second period to stretch their lead to 48-32 at halftime.

Hines dropped in 3 baskets and 2 free throws for the Eagles in the quarter, Sean Marshall sank 3 free throws, and Avery and Smith connected for a basket each.

Seven different Bulldogs scored in the third quarter as the lead grew to 74-48. Hines fired in 3 baskets and a free throw for the Eagles, and Avery drilled a 3-ball and another basket. Johnson tossed in a basket and 2 free throws.

Hines racked up 3 more baskets in the final quarter and topped all scorers with 23 points. Johnson tallied a basket and a free throw to total 12 points in the game, and Avery also finished with 12 points.

Smith and Sadique Ingram chipped in with a basket each in the final period. Smith contributed 8 points in the game.

East Bladen will travel to Union Tuesday night.
