KANSAS CITY – National Football League reporter @_MLFootball is reporting on Twitter that Auburn offensive lineman Brandon Council, a West Bladen grad, has met with over 10 teams and all of them have shown strong interest.

Among those 10 teams are the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders. The NFL draft concludes Saturday afternoon.

One NFL front office executive told @ML_Football, “Council can play every position on the O-line which is a big plus for a day 3 guy. Having that versatility helps a team because they know they can plug him in if someone goes down. Also shows his football IQ to be able to play multiple positions.”

According to @MLFootball, league sources have shared that Brandon has quietly moved up teams’ draft boards and is considered a 6th-7th round pick by most teams.

Bladen County fans now have a reason to be more interested in coverage of Saturday’s 4th-7th rounds and pull for the Tar Heel native to be selected. Those rounds begin at noon Saturday.
