AUBURN, Al – West Bladen grad Brandon Council was named Auburn’s 2022 Offensive Lineman of the Year at the team’s postseason awards banquet.
Council started the season as the starter at left guard for the Tigers but was moved to center for the LSU game and started the last 8 games of the season at center. The versatile Tar Heel native played all 5 offensive line positions at Auburn just as he had earlier in his career at Akron.
The 6-foot-4, 328-pound senior has accepted an invitation to play in the 2023 National Football League Players Association Collegiate Bowl that will be played on January 28th in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is a postseason all-star game for any draft-eligible college football players. It is a week long experience that gives players a chance to showcase their game to NFL scouts and coaches as they prepare for the NFL draft.
