The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce has a different schedule this year. Instead of holding their annual banquet in June this year they are holding a regularly scheduled members meeting.
Terri Dennison, Executive Director of the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce said, “We are holding the Chamber Banquet in January so it will run with the regular calendar year.”
Dennison sent out a meeting reminder for today’s regular members’ meeting scheduled for 12 noon today.
The members will hear about 400 Dixie Youth Baseball players (Majors division 1 and 2) and their families scheduled to come to the Elizabethtown – White Lake area for the state championship, starting Friday, July 16.
According to the announcement Dennison released, this double elimination tournament could see families staying in the area for up to a week.
She stated, “We want to welcome them to our area and help them enjoy their stay. We need all our members’ support to make this a successful tournament.”
The June Member Meeting on Tuesday, June 15 at noon will be at the Cape Fear Farmers Market in Elizabethtown.
