County high schools East Bladen and West Bladen square off in many athletic events. Which school wins more? Let’s find out.
The schools have their first meetings for the 2022-23 academic year Thursday in volleyball (at West Bladen) and girls’ tennis (at Bladen County Park).
There was a cross country meet held last week and the East Bladen boys’ tied for first place. However, the the East Bladen girls, West Bladen boys or West Bladen girls didn’t have the required five runners to receive a team score. So, a win will not be credited in our competition.

• Football: Varsity at West Bladen, Sept. 30; Junior varsity at East Bladen, Sept. 29.
• Volleyball: at West Bladen, Sept. 8; at East Bladen, Oct. 4.
• Boys’ soccer: at West Bladen, Sept. 19; at East Bladen, Oct. 12.
• Girls’ tennis: at West Bladen, Sept. 8; at East Bladen, Oct. 4
• Cross country: Weekly conference meets
