If, as Meat Loaf once sang, two out of three ain’t bad, then three out of four ain’t badder.

The season percentage is at 75% after nine weeks of picking football game winners. The goal each season is 80%, which would be the baddest, but, as written, three out of four ain’t badder … improper grammar aside.

Last week’s record: 15-3 (83%)
Season record: 118-40 (75%)
Prep record: 5-1 last week (47-18 season, 72%)
College record: 7-2 last week (61-18 season, 77%)
Pro record: 3-0 last week (10-4 season, 71%)

EAST BLADEN at RED SPRINGS: The Eagles have won two straight and have a lot to play for. With two games remaining, East Bladen would be in the playoffs. A win against the winless Red Devils should pretty much guarantee a postseason bid and is much needed with powerful St. Pauls up next week to end the season. East Bladen 28, Red Springs 12.

WEST BLADEN at ST. PAULS: The Knights are coming off a big homecoming win. Unfortunately, their next opponent is coming off a tough loss that decided the conference championship and the Bulldogs have one of the premiere running backs in the state. St. Pauls 48, West Bladen 6.

TAMPA BAY at CAROLINA: Tom Brady, even an older version who may have second thoughts about unretiring to play another season, is too much for a Panthers team that seems completely off the rails. It’s said in the NFL that on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team. Well, not this Sunday. Tampa Bay 27, Carolina 10.

FRIDAY’S PICK TO CLICK

On June 23, National League home run champion Kyle Schwarber hit a home run off San Diego’s Joe Musgrove. The pair meet again in Game 3 of the NL Championship Series in Philadelphia where the Phillies slugger may not smash one 488 feet, but he will connect for a long ball against the Padres ace.

THURSDAY’S PICK: James Harden will have a triple-double to lead Philadelphia over the Milwaukee Bucks as the 76ers bounce back from a season-opening loss at Boston. RESULTS: Oh, so close. Harden had 31 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists in the 76ers’ 90-88 loss against Milwaukee.

TODAY IN SPORTS HISTORY

1950 — Tom Powers of Duke scores six touchdowns — three rushing, three receiving — in a 41-0 victory over Richmond.
