WHITEVILLE – Columbus County defeated Bladen County 13-6 Sunday in a winners’ bracket game in the Dixie Youth Baseball District 2 Majors Tournament.
Bladen County will play again Tuesday at 6 p.m. in an elimination game against the loser of Monday’s Columbus County/Whiteville Optimist game.
Saturday, Bladen County rallied from a 12-2 deficit to edge Nakina 13-12. Bladen County trailed 12-4 going into the bottom of the sixth inning, but rallied for 9 runs to pull out the victory.
