The GreenJackets pounded out 9 hits and defeated the RedBirds 15-3 Monday night in Dixie Boys Baseball action at County Park.

Colton Daly belted a 2-run single, and Coley Sasser slammed a 2-run double as the GreenJackets scored 4 first inning runs. Claxton Tatum slugged a run-scoring double to begin a 4-run third inning for the GreenJackets. Darius Williamson knocked in Tatum with a single, and Daly ripped a double that scored Williamson. Daly later scored as the lead grew to 8-2.

Josh Dawson hammered a 2-run double to start a 7-run, fourth inning for the GreenJackets. Tatum drove in a pair of runs with a single, and Williamson cracked a run-scoring single.

Daly batted 2-for-2 with a double, 4 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Sasser finished 2-for-2 at the plate with a double, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Williamson turned in a 2-for-2 game at the plate with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.

Tatum batted 2-for-3 with a double, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Dawson drilled a 2-run double and scored a run. Torrean Cogdell scored 2 runs, and Davion Lewis, Natoren Corbett, Isaiah Lee and Braylon Cromartie scored 1 run each.

Clayton Moore and Nolan Sessoms drew walks and scored runs for the RedBirds in the first inning. Caison Brixey laced a fourth inning single for the RedBirds, and teammate Andrew Musselwhite scored a run in the fourth inning.

The GreenJackets improved to 2-1 with the victory.
