KANSAS CITY, Mo. – East Bladen was one of only 27 schools nationwide to have both their boys and girls soccer teams receive the United Soccer Coaches High School Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players on the team.
A total of 307 soccer teams (118 boys, 189 girls) throughout the United States earned the award for the 2021-22 school year. East Bladen’s boys posted a 3.30 team GPA and the Lady Eagles recorded a 3.80 team GPA.
