LELAND – Senior Eric Mosely rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown to lead a potent North Brunswick offense that racked up 362 yards rushing in a 59-19 victory over East Bladen Friday night in the non-conference season opener for both teams.

Senior Matthew Kemp carried 6 yards for an Eagle touchdown in the 3rd quarter, and senior Blaine Pope kicked the extra point. Senior Masion Brooks galloped 80 yards for another East touchdown in the 3rd period. Brooks finished with 107 yards rushing on 7 carries.

Junior Malaki Moore caught a 12-yard pass from sophomore Keyshawn Kemp for the final Eagle touchdown in the 4th period. Moore snagged 5 passes for 83 yards. Keyshawn Kemp completed 2 of 3 passes for 49 yards, and junior Kewone Maynor connected on 5 of 14 passes for 46 yards. The Eagles finished with 149 yards rushing and 94 passing for 243 total yards.

North senior Jacob Dashiell scored on runs of 3 and 10 yards and totaled 48 yards rushing. Junior Calvin Webb rushed for 61 yards and ripped off scoring runs of 50 and 8 yards.

Scorpion senior Timothy White ran 24 yards for a touchdown and snagged a 27-yard TD pass from senior Tarron Green. Senior Garrett Gore returned a blocked punt 25 yards for a score, and junior Jacob Molina booted a 36-yard field goal and 5 extra points.

East Bladen will host rival West Bladen Friday night. North Brunswick will travel to West Carteret Friday night.
