BOILING SPRING LAKE – Junior Jameson Prince threw for 270 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 2 more touchdowns to lead South Brunswick to a 62-0 non-conference football victory over West Bladen Friday night.

Prince scored on runs of 7 and 3 yards as the Cougars grabbed an early 14-0 lead. Prince then tossed a 35-yard touchdown pass to Mark Bishop and a 28-yard TD pass to Bazil Abram to grow the lead to 28-0.

A 2-yard TD run by Jordan Davis and a 1-yard TD run by Antwan Thompson stretched the lead to 42-0 at halftime. Prince connected with Michael Shrewsbury for a 22-yard touchdown pass that pushed the lead to 48-0.

Gary Sotriffer ran for touchdowns of 2 and 10 yards in the final period. Dow Pender connected on 8 of 9 extra point kicks. Shrewsbury caught 9 passes for 92 yards, and Bishop grabbed 3 passes for 77 yards. Abram had 3 catches for 44 yards.

Freshman quarterback Hunter Hester completed 7 of 12 passes for 89 yards to lead the Knight offense. Junior Travis Baxley caught 2 passes for 41 yards, and senior Tydrick Stewart had 2 receptions for 21 yards. Junior Jordan Hester grabbed 1 pass for 15 yards, and junior Cornelius Esters caught 1 pass for 9 yards.

Senior Hunter Elks ran 4 times for 17 yards, caught a pass for 3 yards and returned 3 kicks for 42 yards. Stewart gained 43 yards on 3 kick returns.

Junior Aaron Lewis led the Knight defense with 8 tackles. Junior Stefane Jessup made 4 tackles. Senior Aaron Wren also had 4 tackles. Stewart, Elks and Justin Spaulding made 3 tackles each, and Stewart had a pass deflection. Esters and senior Deonte Lacy were credited with 2 tackles each.

West Bladen will host East Columbus Friday night.
