ROSE HILL – Junior guard Kasee Singletary tossed in 12 points to lead West Bladen to a 36-18 non-conference girls basketball victory over Union Wednesday night.

Senior Carley Dawson pumped in a basket and 2 free throws in the first quarter as the Lady Knights built an 8-4 lead. Junior Mikayla Meadows added a basket, and Singletary sank 2 free throws in the period.

Singletary connected on 3 free throws, and Dawson dropped in a basket as the Lady Knights extended their lead to 13-6 at halftime.

Junior Lexie Corrothers drained a 3-point shot and another basket, and Singletary threw in a basket and a free throw in the third quarter as the lead grew to 23-9.

Singletary flipped in a pair of baskets in the final quarter, and junior Seniah Johnson buried a 3-point shot. Freshman Haley George, Corrothers and Meadows also netted baskets in the period for the Lady Knights.

Corrothers finished with 7 points in the game, Dawson totaled 6 points, and Johnson followed with 5 points.

Justice Johnson led Union with 6 points.

Coach Brian McCleney’s Lady Knights improved to 4-2 and will host Red Springs Friday night in a Three Rivers Conference game.
