RIEGELWOOD – Whiteville’s Wolfpack posted a team total of 346 to win Tuesday’s Waccamaw Conference golf match at Riegelwood Country Club by 34 strokes over South Columbus who recorded a 380 total.
East Bladen took 3rd place with a 403 total followed by West Columbus (413) and East Columbus (424). Heide Trask did not have 4 players competing and did not qualify in the team competition.
Whiteville’s Colby Hooks captured medalist honors with an 84 that was 2 shots better than teammate Gavin Creech and East Columbus’ Caden Carroll. South Columbus’ Ayden Beck was 4th with an 87. East Bladen’s Connor Smith placed 10th with a 98.
Other East Bladen golfers competing were: Tony Todd (100), Zac Metz (101) and Dawson Wright (104).
Next week’s match will be at Vineyard Golf at White Lake.
