Harrells Christian Academy boys and girls varsity teams won Friday night and will continue play today at Arendell Parrott Academy.

HCA Varsity Boys 53, Fayetteville Academy 32

Quate McKinzie scored 20 points for the Harrells Crusaders Friday night in a 53-32 win over Fayetteville Academy. Donta Chavious added 10 and Spencer Cooke scored 9.

HCA had a 24-16 lead at halftime but outscored their opponent 15-7 in the 3rd quarter to coast to the victory.

HCA boys play in the Championship game today at 5:30 at Arendell Parrot Academy.

Harrells Varsity Girls 32, Fayetteville Christian Academy 27

Despite being shut out in the first quarter in a game with Fayetteville Academy, the lady Crusaders overcame a 9-0 lead and posted a 32-27 win to advance to today’s championship game at Arendell Parrott Academy. Gametime is 3:30 p.m.

HCA varsity girls had only one player to score in double digits. Marissa Parks scored 11, Emily Benton added 9 and Mikaela Stroud scored 8. The lady Crusaders outscored FCA 13-5 in the final quarter to win the game.

The JV Lady Crusaders will also be playing in the championship round of the jv girls division at noon time Saturday. That game also at Arendell Parrott Academy.
