Her family left Wyoming only a few months after her birth and ended up in the Spring Valley area of Houston, Texas, in 1959. She graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1973. It was there in Houston where she met and married her husband, Dennis, on August 30, 1985. In January 1986, the family moved to Sanford, FL. Then in 1988, they moved to North Carolina. She held several clerical jobs throughout her career. Her favorite job was for the Gulf Oil Company. She also worked in banking, voter registration, and the call center for the NC DMV, from which she retired due to medical issues. She loved God, family, and friends in that order. Her two “half families” made her complete. She was bubbly, friendly, and never met a stranger. She enjoyed painting, coloring, digital scrapbooking, and portraying Mrs. Claus. She loved children so much she became a Guardian Ad Litem (an advocate for children). If you knew her, you loved her. She will be missed, no doubt.

A celebration of her life will be held at 6 PM on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at A Touch of Country Venue, located 2.5 miles east of White Lake. Physical address for GPS is 9700 NC Hwy 41 E, Harrells, NC 28444.
