ELIZABETHTOWN – Mahki Cromartie pitched a 5-hitter and East Bladen exploded for 6 first inning runs en route to a 12-1 Three Rivers Conference jayvee baseball victory over Red Springs Thursday.

Jay McKoy and Tyler Hill started the Eagle first inning with singles. Dylan Fine launched a sacrifice fly that scored Jay McKoy, and Raymond Autry walloped a triple that scored Hill.

Rasean McKoy walked, and Drew Sholar hammered a double that scored Autry and Rasean McKoy. Cromartie walked, and Chase Starkloff knocked in Sholar and Cromartie with a single.

Red Springs trimmed the lead to 6-1 in the third, but East Bladen answered in the home third. Cromartie led off with a single, and Starkloff sacrificed him to second. Jay McKoy drove in Cromartie with a single.

Hill cracked a single that scored Jay McKoy. Fine walked, and Autry clobbered another triple that scored Hill and Fine and boosted the lead to 10-1.

Sholar belted a single to begin the fourth inning, and Nazire Smith walked. Sholar darted home on a passed ball. Greyson Clark smacked a single, and Jay McKoy lifted a sacrifice fly that scored Smith for a 12-1 lead.

Autry batted 2-3 with 2 triples, 3 runs batted in and a run scored to lead the Eagle hitters. Sholar finished 2-3 at the plate with a double, 2 rbi’s and 2 runs scored. Jay McKoy batted 2-3 with 2 rbi’s and 2 runs scored.

Hill finished 2-3 at the plate with an rbi and 2 runs scored. Clark batted 2-3, and Dylan Fine, Rasean McKoy, Cromartie and Starkloff added one hit each. Starkloff had 2 rbi’s, and Fine had an rbi. Cromartie scored 2 runs, and Fine, Rasean McKoy, and Smith scored one run each.

East Bladen will host South Columbus Monday.
