ROCKY POINT – Heide Trask exploded for 6 runs in the bottom of the fifth to overcome a 4-1 West Bladen lead and post a 7-4 Four County Conference jayvee baseball victory.

The Titans bunched 6 hits together during the winning rally. Knight sophmore Trey Storms had allowed only 5 hits in the first 4 innings. For the game Storms struck out 7 and walked two.

Caleb Sholar belted a first-inning single and scored when sophmore Jonathan Robinson delivered a single.

Trask scored a run in the second on 2 hits to tie the game 1-1.

Ian Sykes blasted a triple to lead off the Knight third inning. Brandon Strange knocked Sykes in with a single for a 2-1 West lead.

The Knights stretched their lead to 4-1 with 2 runs in the fifth. Sykes started the rally again with a single, and 2 outs later Robinson laced a single to drive in Sykes. After a walk to Storms, Shawn Oxendine smacked a single that scored Robinson.

Robinson batted 2-3 with 2 runs batted in and a run scored to lead the Knight hitters. Sykes finished 2-4 at the plate with a triple and 2 runs scored.

Sholar, Strange, Oxendine and David Valenta connected for one hit each for the Knights. Strange and Oxendine drove in one run each, and Sholar scored a run.

West Bladen is now 9-8 on the season and will host Wallace-Rose Hill Friday.
