BaseballWest Bladen battled back from an early 3-1 deficit to claim a 5-3 non-conference jayvee baseball victory at St. Pauls Monday.

Righthander Trey Storms shutout the Bulldogs over the final 3 innings to pick up the pitching win for the Knights.

Freshman Scott Bowen slammed a first-inning double and scored the first Knight run. The Bulldogs scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the first.

Bowen and Storms both walked and scored runs in the West Bladen third inning to tie the score.

Knight catcher Brandon Carson cracked a single and scored the go-ahead run in the top of the fourth when Bowen smacked his second double of the game. Bowen later scored an insurance run.

Freshman Jonathan Robinson batted a perfect 3-3 to lead the Knight hitters. Bowen finished 2-2 at the plate with 2 doubles and scored 3 runs.
Sophmore Hunter Pait belted 2 hits for the Knights, and Carson added the one single.

The Knights travel to West Columbus today (Tuesday) for a 4 p.m. game.
