ELIZABETHTOWN – Corey McKoy sank 4 straight free throws in the final minute to lift East Bladen to a 32-27 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys victory over West Columbus Tuesday night.
Juwan Baldwin and Rasean McKoy dropped in baskets for the Eagles in the final quarter, and Allen Owens canned a free throw.
Corey McKoy topped the East Bladen scoring with 10 points, and Baldwin followed with 8 points. Rasean McKoy and Tayshaun Berkeley added 5 points each.
Rasean McKoy and Corey McKoy drained 3-point shots in the opening quarter as the Eagles edged in front 8-7. Berkeley buried a 3-point shot and another basket in the second period to keep the Eagles ahead 15-14 at halftime.
Donevin Keith, Corey McKoy and Baldwin threw in one basket each in the third quarter, and Keith and Corey McKoy netted free throws in the quarter as the East Bladen lead grew to 23-16 at the quarter break.
Coach Aking Elting’s Eagles evened their record at 2-2 and will host North Brunswick Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Last Friday the Eagle jayvees dropped a 31-23 decision at Red Springs. Corey McKoy led the East Bladen scoring with 7 points, and teammate Lefrederick Wooten bombed in a pair of 3-point shots and finished with 6 points.
