ELIZABETHTOWN – Kyran McKoy fired in 12 points, and Dashawn Campbell and Torrean Cogdell added 8 points each to lead East Bladen to a 43-27 Waccamaw Conference jayvee boys’ victory over East Columbus Wednesday.

Kyran McKoy drained a pair of 3-point shots in the 1st half as the Eagles built a 20-15 lead. Khalil McKoy nailed a 3-point shot and another basket in the 1st half. Cogdell sank 3 free throws and another basket, and Campbell dropped in a pair of buckets.

Kyran McKoy tossed in 3 more baskets in the 3rd period, and Khalil McKoy, Josiah Garner, Campbell and Cogdell also scored baskets. Cogdell added a free throw as the lead swelled to 35-26.

Sheldon Melvin threw in a pair of Eagle baskets in the final quarter, and Campbell cashed in 2 free throws. Khalil McKoy finished with 7 points for the winners.

Z. Hines led the Gators with 8 points, and Adrion Jenrette and Jaylen Spears tallied 5 points each.

The Eagles improved to 2-0 in the Waccamaw and 4-4 overall and will visit Pender Friday.
