SOUTHPORT– Keonta Hill and Jamari Adams keyed a 26-16 2nd half surge that carried West Bladen to a 43-33 non-conference jayvee boys basketball victory over South Brunswick Wednesday.

Hill tossed in 2 baskets and a free throw, and Damarion Bryant pumped in 2 baskets as the Knights pulled away from a 17-17 tie. JaQuan Lesane buried a 3-point shot as West took a 29-24 lead.

Adams sank 4 free throws and 2 other baskets in the final quarter. Hill cashed in 2 free throws, and Lesane dropped in a basket.

Lesane and Hill shared scoring honors for the Knights with 10 points each. Bryant and Adams finished with 8 points each, and Justin Spaulding tallied 4 points.

Sayvion Covington, Hill and Lesane nailed 1st half 3-point shots. Spaulding, popped in a basket and 2 free throws, and Bryant and Lesane added baskets.

Jayden Rossi led the Cougars with 8 points, and Sidney Dale, Julian Simmons and Tripp Cable netted 6 points each.

The Knight jayvees improved to 3-5 and will visit West Columbus Wednesday.
