ROWLAND – Donovan Stone and Javonta Matthews fired in 11 points each to lead West Bladen’s jayvee boys to a 37-24 Three Rivers Conference basketball victory over South Robeson Tuesday night.

Matthews and Jadacus Register threw in first period baskets as the Knights battled the Mustangs to a 4-4 tie. Register buried a 3-point shot and added 2 other baskets during a 16-4 West Bladen blitz in the second quarter.

Stone dropped in a pair of baskets in the second period, and Matthews nailed a 3-point shot. Kai Belle muscled in a basket to give the Knights a 20-8 halftime lead.

Matthews drained a pair of 3-point shots in the third quarter, and Stone popped in a pair of baskets. Center Lancine Soumahoro powered in a basket as the West lead grew to 32-16.

Stone sank a basket and a free throw in the final period, and Ricky Brisson added a basket.

Register finished with 9 points for Coach Aaron Lane’s Knights who will host East Columbus Friday.
