RED SPRINGS –Freshman Ellie Kinlaw and sophomore Kali Allen combined for 31 service points Thursday to spark West Bladen to a 2-0 Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee volleyball victory over Red Springs by set scores of 25-3 and 25-10.

Kinlaw smoked the court with 11 aces, 7 other service points, 4 attacks and 2 kills. Allen racked up 13 service points including 5 aces. Tall Tah’lea Bethea dominated the net play with 11 attacks, 9 kills and a block.

Sophomore Makenna Thurman hammered in 8 attacks, a kill and 5 service points for the Lady Knights. Kimberly Dowless distributed 7 assists and had a kill and 1 attack. Helaina Conklin drilled in 2 aces.

Sophomore Jahyra Priest knocked in 2 attacks, 2 service points and a kill for the winners. Shanna Lewis chipped in with 3 attacks and 2 kills, and Brenna Hester fired in 2 service points.

Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights raised their record to 4-1 in SAC-6 play and 12-5 overall. West Bladen will travel to Clinton Tuesday.
