Kayla Thompson will begin her Junior season as one of the top golfers at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington on September 11. Last year Kayla was third out of six golfers on the UNCW golf team with a average score of 76.42.
The fall golf schedule calls for four invitational tournaments.
The Lady Seahawks will be playing the William and Mary Invitational on September 11-12 in Williamsburg, Va. The ladies will venture to Greenville, S.C. to participate in the Furman Lady Paladin Invitational on September 23-25.
On October 14-16 they will play in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill. They will continue their fall golf schedule with The Landfall Tradition Tourney on October 28-30 in Wilmington.
Their spring golf schedule will begin in March 2017.
