SAN FRANCISCO – Former East Bladen star Larrell Murchison made a solo tackle Sunday as his Los Angeles Rams edged the San Francisco 49ers 21-20 in their regular season finale.

Murchison tackled the 49ers’ Elijah Mitchell after a 3-yard gain midway the first quarter. The former N.C. State star now has 16 tackles for the season, including 7 solo tackles.

Carson Wentz filled in at quarterback in place of Matthew Stafford for the Rams and passed for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. Wentz also ran for a touchdown.

The Rams finished with a 10-7 record and earned the National Football Conference’s No. 6 seed and will travel to Detroit Sunday night to play the third seeded Lions in the wild-card playoff round. Game time on NBC is 8 p.m.
