It didn’t take long for Larrell Murchison to be back in the National Football League.

The East Bladen High graduate was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, two days after being let go by the Tennessee Titans.

The Rams were looking for defensive line help following an injury to tackle Marquise Copeland last Thursday in a 17-16 win against the Las Vegas Raiders along with the uncertain status of Aaron Donald, who is recovering from a high ankle sprain sustained against Kansas City on Nov. 27. Lineman A’Shawn Robinson is out for the season because of a knee injury sustained Nov. 20 against New Orleans.

The Rams are the defending Super Bowl champions, but are 4-9 and in last place in the NFC West this season. Los Angeles is scheduled to play at Green Bay on Monday, Dec. 19. The game will be televised by ABC with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m.

Murchison, who is 25, played in 26 games for the Titans after being drafted by Tennessee in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft out of N.C. State. He played in five games for Tennessee this season and was credited with two tackles, including one solo tackle. He played 61 snaps this season.
