NASHVILLE, TN – Quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for 2 more Sunday to lead the Tennessee Titans to a 46-25 National Football League victory over the Detroit Lions.

Former East Bladen and N. C. State star Larrell Murchison was placed on the Inactive List prior to Sunday’s game. Murchison has played in 9 of the Titans 14 games and has made 4 tackles.

Running back Derrick Henry who carried 24 times for 147 yards scored the first Titan touchdown on a 3-yard run. Tannehill then hooked up with Corey Davis on a 75-yard touchdown pass play that produced a 14-7 lead.

Tannehill dashed 17 yards for another score, but the Lions pulled to within 24-18 in the 3rd quarter. A 3-yard Tannehill TD run followed by Henry’s 2-point conversion run pushed the lead to 32-18. Tannehill tossed a 2-yard touchdown pass to A. J. Brown to extend the lead to 39-18. Tannehill completed 21 of 27 passes for 273 yards. Davis finished with 4 catches for 110 yards.

It was the final home game for the Titans who sit atop the AFC Central with a 10-4 record and will travel to Green Bay for a Sunday night game that will start at 8:20.
