As North Carolina moves to quickly curb the spread of the coronavirus under the newest Executive Order No. 131 which issues stronger social distancing requirements. Some retailers can stay open with approval by the NC Department of Revenue’s approval.

Leinwand’s located at 132 W. Broad Street in Elizabethtown has been open since 1935, but is willing to change with the times, according to store owner, Ricky Leinwand.

“We want to help our community during this uncertain time. We are making deliveries and people may come in, but we are practicing the social distancing guidelines,” Leinwand said.

The store has an approval to operate from the North Carolina Department of Revenue as long as it can operate in accordance with the social distancing requirements. The clothing store known most for its name brand apparel offers more than the latest styles and fashions.

The store has clothing needed for essential workers and it offers check cashing services for residents who do not have bank accounts.

Shoes, protective clothing, and other items anyone may need to stay safe during the coronavirus outbreak may still be purchased from the small business. The store is located at 132 W. Broad Street in Elizabethtown. To make an appointment or to place an order for delivery call 910-862-3772. You may visit the store’s Facebook page as well and leave a message.
