BLADENBORO – Sophmore striker Keni Verdugo Gomez and junior right winger Wilmer Garcia scored goals as West Bladen’s Knights claimed their first Three Rivers Conference men’s soccer victory with a 2-1 win over St. Pauls.

Gomez tallied his third goal of the season in the first half as the Knights took a 1-0 lead into halftime. “Fortunately we were able to finish the game strong this time,” said West Bladen Coach Phillip Turnage.

Garcia recorded his second goal of the season in the second half. “It was a sliding goal that was impossible for their keeper to block,” said Coach Turnage. “This win is the momentum shifter that we have been looking for.”

The Knights are now 1-2 in league play.
