BLADENBORO – Kendell Lesane and Jaquan Lesane combined for 25 points Thursday night to lead Bladenboro to a 41-19 Waccamaw Middle School Conference victory over Williams Township.

Kendell Lesane powered in 3 baskets and canned 2 free throws as he scored 8 of his game-high 14 points in the opening quarter. Keonta Hill drained a 3-point shot, and Blake Britt and Ashton Davis threw in baskets as the Bulldogs raced to a 14-2 lead.

Jaquan Lesane blistered the nets with a trio of 3-point bombs in the 2nd quarter and finished with 11 points for Bladenboro. Kendall Lesane dropped in a basket and a free throw as the lead grew to 26-8 at halftime.

Kendall Lesane worked the paint for 2 more baskets in the 3rd period. Hill sank a basket and a free throw, and Jaquan Lesane and Davis netted baskets as the lead grew to 37-11.

Sincere McKinley popped in a Bulldog basket in the final quarter, and Hill and Chase Bryan cashed in free throws. Hill finished with 7 points for Bladenboro, and Davis followed with 4 points.

P. Smith led Williams with 8 points, and K. Bellamy chipped in with 7 points.

Coach Joe Gore’s Bulldogs will play Tar Heel Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Bladen County Tournament at Elizabethtown.
