BLADENBORO – Keonta Hill sparked a 21-4 2nd period Bladenboro blitz that propelled the Bulldogs to a 31-8 lead and eventual 49-29 Waccamaw Middle School Conference ‘A’ Division boys’ basketball victory over Nakina Monday night.

Ashton Davis dropped in 2 baskets and 2 free throws in the opening quarter and Kendell Lesane powered in a pair of baskets as the Bulldogs grabbed an early 10-4 lead.

Hill blistered the nets with a trio of 3-point shots and another basket in the 2nd period. Teammate Jaquan Lesane buried a pair of 3-point shots in the quarter, and Kendell Lesane and Blake Britt popped in baskets before halftime.

Britt continued the Bulldogs’ long-range assault with a pair of 3-point shots in the 3rd period, and Hill knocked down another 3-ball. Sayvion Covington and Kendell Lesane pumped in baskets to keep the lead at 44-21.

Sincere McKinley bombed in a 3-pointer for the Bulldogs in the final period, and Covington added a basket.

Hill led the Bulldog scoring with 14 points. Kendell Lesane and Britt followed with 8 points each, and Davis and Jaquan Lesane finished with 6 points each. C. Simmons topped the Nakina scoring with 13 points, and C. Dixon scored 9 points.

Coach Joe Gore’s Bulldogs improved to 6-0 in ‘A’ Division play and 9-0 overall.
