CLARKTON – Khalil McKoy and Keyshawn Kemp combined for 40 points as Clarkton School of Discovery rolled to a 70-13 Waccmaw Middle School Conference boys’ basketball victory over Tabor City Tuesday night.
McKoy poured in 22 points to lead the Blue Devils, and Kemp was right behind him with 18 points. Hunter Wood bombed in a trio of 3-balls and totaled 9 points. Dasheon Campbell pumped in 8 points, and Kyran McKoy scored 6 points.

Kemp lit up the scoreboard with 4 baskets, and Campbell threw in 3 baskets and 2 free throws as the Blue Devils blitzed the visitors 23-0 in the opening quarter. Khalil McKoy nailed a 3-ball and another basket, and Jackson Smith added a basket.
Nasir Hutchison rallied the Red Devils scoring all 7 of his points in the 2nd period, but Khalil McKoy and Kemp tossed in 2 baskets each, and Smith and Christopher Callihan popped in a basket each to keep CSD up 35-11 at halftime.
Wood connected on his trio of 3-point shots in the 3rd quarter. Kemp flipped in a trio of baskets, and Khalil McKoy knocked down a 3-point shot and another basket. Isaiah Robinson’s free throw pushed the count to 56-11.
Khalil McKoy racked up 4 more baskets in the final period, Kyran McKoy buried a pair of 3-point shots.
Coach Robert Mazur’s Blue Devils evened their record at 2-2 and will host Williams Township Wednesday night.
