CLARKTON – Cabria Baldwin fired in 9 points Tuesday to lead Clarkton School of Discovery to a 15-12 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ basketball victory over Tabor City.
Baldwin threw in a pair of hoops in the opening quarter as the teams battled to a 4-4 tie. The visiting Lady Red Devils forged an 8-4 halftime lead, before Baldwin rallied the Lady Blue Devils with 2 baskets in the 3rd period. Teammate Tyliah Freeman scored a basket as the score was knotted again at 10-10.

Brenna Hester and ZyEria Ripley drove for baskets in the final period, and Baldwin sank a free throw as CSD pulled out the victory. D. Johnson and M. Johnson led the Tabor City scoring with 4 points each.
Coach Savanna Elkins’ Lady Blue Devils evened their record at 2-2 and will host Williams Township Wednesday.
