Majuan McKoy and Jordan Robinson combined for 35 points to lead Elizabethtown to a 45-36 Bladen Five Middle School Conference boys basketball victory at East Arcadia Tuesday.
Majuan McKoy topped the Cougar scoring with 20 points, while Robinson pumped in 15 points. Teammate Tyrek Smith added 5 points.
Majuan McKoy dropped in a trio of first quarter baskets, and Robinson sank a basket and a free throw as the Cougars jumped out to an 11-4 lead.
Sterling Thomas threw in a basket, and Kasey Price sank 2 free throws for the East Arcadia points.
Robinson popped in a trio of baskets, and Smith bombed in a 3-pointer in the second period as the Cougars stretched their lead to 22-13.
Thomas delivered a 3-point shot for the Panthers in the second quarter, and Price contributed a basket and 2 free throws.
Majuan McKoy tallied 3 more baskets in the third quarter, and Robinson hit 2 free throws and another basket as the Elizabethtown lead grew to 34-23.
Price connected for 3 Panther baskets and 2 free throws in the third quarter. Price delivered 2 more baskets and 2 free throws in the fourth period.
Teammate Charles Dixon scored 2 baskets for the Panthers in the final frame and finished with 6 points. Price led the East Arcadia scoring with 20 points, and Thomas also scored 6 points.
Majuan McKoy recorded 6 points in the final quarter to keep the Cougars in front.
Elizabethtown improved to 5-1 with the victory.
