ELIZABETHTOWN — Cameron R. and Wesley J. combined for 20 points Thursday night to lead Midway to 34-23 middle school boys’ basketball victory over Emereau Bladen.

Cameron worked the boards for a trio of 1st period baskets then drained a 2nd quarter 3-point shot and led the Raiders with 11 points. Wesley bombed in a pair of 3-point shots in the 1st half and finished with 9 points.

Lakota Schmale topped the Aviator scoring with 9 points. Cyncere Jessup followed with 5 points, and Braiden Dixon and Joel Lewis totaled 4 points each.

Schmale dropped in a pair of 1st half baskets. Lewis sank 2 free throws, and Dixon made one. Schmale and Dixon nailed 3-point shots in the 3rd quarter. Jessup tossed in a basket, and Lewis cashed in 2 free throws as Emereau pulled to within 28-17.

Jessup and Schmale banged in baskets in the final period, and Lewis and Blaine McMillian canned free throws.

Emereau is scheduled to travel to Riverside Christian Monday.
