CLARKTON — C. Cord sparked Whiteville Central to an early 7-0 lead with a pair of baskets, and the Lady Hornets defeated Clarkton School of Discovery 13-4 Tuesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ basketball action.
Aniya Willis and Imani Bowens fired in 2nd quarter baskets for the Lady Blue Devils that trimmed the Central lead to 9-4 at halftime. Cord led Whiteville with 4 points.
The Lady Blue Devils, now 2-4, will entertain Bladenboro Thursday. Whiteville improved to 3-3 and will play Williams Township Thursday.
