ELIZABETHTOWN – Marlie Walters fired in 2 goals Monday to lead Bladenboro to a 5-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls soccer victory over West Columbus at Bladen County Park.
Montserrat Castro blasted in a penalty kick and dished out an assist for the winners. Teammate Kallie Bass drilled in a goal and was credited with an assist.
Brookee Singletary knocked in the other Lady Bulldog goal off of an assist from Shamaria Jackson. Amerie Smith had 2 saves while posting the shutout in goal for Bladenboro.
Coach Kristen Parker’s Lady Bulldogs evened their record at 2-2 with the win and will travel to Williams Township Wednesday.
